Food for the Poor's Help for Haiti Drive

Our Help for Haiti service project was a huge success thanks to the contributions we received from all of our Pembroke Pines Charter campuses. We were able to not only meet, but also surpass our goal. Our student and parent volunteers delivered over 100 boxes filled with supplies to Food for the Poor, which were shipped and distributed to those in need on the island.

Kevin Garcia Foundation's Holiday Toy Drive

Our Leadership and Service class and National Junior Honor Society worked with Pembroke Pines Charter High School students, to collect and wrap toys for those in need during the holiday season. The toys were distributed by the Kevin Garcia Foundation to children at an elementary school in Liberty City, Florida.

Crochet for a Cause

From the classroom to the community! Students learn to crochet blankets for children in foster homes, and baby hats for newborns in the Neonatal ICU hospital.

Fall Food Drive

To help stock the food pantries for the holidays, our students held a Fall Food Drive to collect much needed items to help feed local families in South Florida.

Joy to Jamaica - School Supply Drive

Collecting essential school supplies to bring JOY to Jamaica, and helping children in need.

Hands for Haiti in partnership with Seed International Inc.

Our Hands for Haiti initiative, in partnership with Seed International Inc. was born with the idea to bring crochet lessons and business development opportunities to the women in Haiti. By learning a new skill, they will be able to make a profit and help sustain their families. Building Service Leaders will provide a kit with supplies and lessons to be distributed in the rural community of Beloc, in southwest Haiti.
